Three beers produced at Tennent’s Wellpark Brewery have been awarded prizes in the 2015 International Beer Challenge. Heverlee Witte, Tennent’s Whisky Oak and Tennent’s 1885 Gluten Free were awarded silver, silver and bronze medals respectively in the tasting category.

The awards, now in their 19th year, are judged by a mixture of retailers, importers, publicans brewers, writers and analysts and promote excellence in beers from all over the world across a variety of different categories.

Keith Lugton, Tennent’s Master Brewer, said: “The International Beer Challenge sets the bar high in terms of quality so we’re of course very proud that three of our products have been recognised as being of a high standard by the judging panel. There are some fantastic brewers who have been awarded medals over the last 19 years and we’re glad to be amongst them.

“We take great care at Wellpark to ensure all of our products are produced to the highest possible standard and recognition of this sort is proof that we’re getting it right. The International Beer Challenge is an especially nice one to be successful in given that the panel is made up of such a breadth of industry experts. Congratulations to all who were awarded a medal.”
